Motivational Monday #277: Don't Blend, Be Bold

 You were not born to simply exist & blend in, but to stand out & achieve great things while you are here. 

Don't mimic, the masses. 

Stand out being a little right of center. To stand out

you/we don't have to be completely off the reservation, we need to think, believe & act with passion towards our purpose. When we pursue with purpose the hard days are worth it. When we pursue without purpose they are harder because we are just doing to do & not doing it for a reason/purpose.

Staying on-track towards your goals is really hard to do solo, that is why I believe we were not created to do it as a solo journey but together. It may be with another, a team, a company or even bigger. 

Don't go it alone...go it together.

Hard...yes. Worth it...always. 

Who are you with on your journey? 

Are your goals defined?

Do you visit them often?

Keep them with you & you won't forget your goals or your WHY.

So I have seen this new year (which I can't believe is already half over) as an amazing revamp for me personally and professionally. Personally I believe I have become more self aware, expanded my vision & am happy with the reflection in the mirror every morning. Professionally I was secure enough to walk away from a job that was secure in order to achieve what I wanted. (We should all enjoy what we do as we spend a lot of time doing it) We are never 'stuck' in a situation, it's just that at times the only way out is a big risk or my be uncomfortable. MM #122: No Matter How You Feel

Earlier this month we had a teammate retire after 62 years with the company; yes 62 years! She shared with us all many stories from her years in the industry that were incredible, but one thing that really stood out to Donna and Myself was her final message that I have below in the picture.  She was adamant that she always gave it her best, not just for herself, but for those that relied on her. Her family. Her clients. Her escrow teams. She said that it was about the people around her just as much as her. That is what pushed her to do what she needed to do, when it needed to be done weather she felt like it or not.  I just wanted to share Sue's words with us all today.

Motivational Monday #214: Who & How

Back in high school I had a wrestling coach (Coach Griffin) that would always remind us before every match that we, as a team of individuals pursue victory, but it is always with honor. We win the right way.  It took a bit of time to sink in what he really meant by that. He cared about who we were becoming and not just about what we were achieving. Wins will come and go, but how we respond to both victory & defeat reveals quite a bit about our character.  I believe who we are and who we are becoming is very important. Victory achieved through corners cut may have a short term elevation, but it will catch up & that is not a place we want to be standing. How we approach each day, each activity, each interaction is our choice.  I encourage all of us to make sure the Who we are & the How we are doing things is in line with the person we want to be.
